This essay will discuss use of Bow craft skill, advice on making money using this skill, and items to make to gain this skill. Bow craft is know as an "emergency" skill. This skill is used to gain money quickly and with little effort, if you are pressed for money, Bow craft is a helpful skill to have.

Basics: Bow craft skill requires an axe, a heavily wooded area, bow craft, and lumber jacking skill. With Bow craft you will have the options of making kindling, arrows, bows, x-bows, and heavy x-bows. One way of making money with Bow craft is making arrows and selling then to archers. For this you will also have to find a large amount of feathers, or kill birds. Another way of making money and gaining skill at the same time is making bows  -  heavy x-bows, Depending on your skill. 

Making money: Making massive amounts of bows and selling then to the weapons vendors can be very profitable, yet very repetitive. Many people first starting out Ultima choose Bow craft and spend countless hours building their fortune with Bow craft. It takes many hours and a lot of patience. by making x-bows and heavy x-bows, you can gain skill and make money by selling the bows. Heavy x-bows will sell for quite a bit more than regular bows, but will take more mood and will fail more often.

Gaining skill: In using the Bow craft skill, you will want to Make the hardest item possible, for lower levels this will be a normal bow, once you can easily carve bows, the option to make x-bows will appear, once you can, you should start making them. As you progress a new option for heavy x-bows will appear and you should begin making those. With this technique for gaining skill you will fail a lot. but your skill will gain fast.
